Popular Nigerian musician,David Adeleke AKA Davido,faces critics from fellow Nigerians after his interview in a US radio station ,adding to this he has also replied stating that he is the real Ambassador who showcases the Country in good light.
Taking to his X handle to taunt his critics, Davido said that people are mad at him because he is the real ambassador who showcases the country in a good light.
In the interview with a U.S. radio station, he asked Africans in the diaspora not to come back to Africa as things are not ‘’good back home.”Davido pointed out that the Nigerian economy is in shambles.
His statement in the interview read,Leave America and go where? Go back where? It’s not cool back home. My country now, the economy is in shambles. ’The exchange rate is messed up. A lot of stuff not going well. The economy is not just good anymore. The pil prices are too high. Imagine a country that produces oil. We produce the oil and we paying more money for oil than a country that imports the oil’.’
After the interview many Nigerian ‘s reacted and criticized Davido ,stating that he is painting a bad image of the country.
