Popular actor, Bolanle Ninalowo reveals the fact that he is in support of his daughter’s navel piercing, describing it as a meaningful step forward to strengthen their father -daughter relationship.
In a frank conversation with media personality Vj Adams , the award winning actor stated that his daughter initially wanted to get a tongue ring but he was against it ,and he asked her to think about it . When she came back with the navel piercing reply he couldn’t help but agree because he saw this as a better option adding that this must have been the handwork of her peers.
His words read;
I remember one day my daughter woke me up and she was like ‘Dad I want to get a tongue ring’, and I was surprised because I could not even say something like that to my Dad, i couldn’t even tell my Dad that I wanted to grow beard. I took a moment and I said ‘Yo Aliyah a tongue ring, I wouldn’t want to kiss a girl with a tongue ring, think about something else’. She said okay and that she will think about it, I know this is what her friends and her peers are doing and it’s hard to tell her different when she goes to school and sees that okay, 4 out of every 5 or 6 girls have tongue rings or whatever, or tattoos”.
“She came back and she was like ‘Yo Dad, okay I now know what I want’ and I asked her what it is and said she wants to get a belly button ring and I said that’s more like it because she can take it out. I asked her to make an appointment and I took her there myself, I paid for it and I brought her home. She showed her Mom and she was really excited, that’s an opportunity for me to connect and let her know that I’m always here for her”, Bolanle Ninalowo said.
